Maria Milik, Artist.

Maria Milik is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University, with a M.A. in Art History and Museum Studies. She was a Curatorial Assistant for British Petroleum before moving to the Chicago area in the early 1990's. Her career in Illinois involved working for art galleries as a Corporate Art Consultant and starting her own art business. She began her entrepreneurial career representing emerging local artists by commissioning them for small and large scale corporate installations. In order to fulfill deadlines, Maria utilized her artistic skills to collaborate and complete murals and faux finishes. Maria continued her art and design business  for the next 17 years, until giving birth to her first son, who had medical issues, in 2002. She continued her love of art by concentrating any free time she had, creating art for personal pleasure. It wasn't until recently that she decided to reenter the art world- this time, representing her own artwork.
