Maria Milik is an accomplished artist, holding a Master's of Arts in Art History and Museum Studies. With a robust background in corporate curatorial work, she founded and led her own company for 17 years, representing a diverse array of artists and fostering their careers in the art world. In 2003, facing medical challenges with her firstborn son, Maria made the difficult decision to close her business to prioritize family caregiving, turning to her personal artwork as a vital source of grounding and solace during this period. Deeply connected to animals and their emotional significance, she began creating pet portraits for friends and family, which quickly gained recognition and evolved into commissioned works for a broader clientele. Now, with her children grown, Maria is wholeheartedly dedicating her time to her passions, continuing to support individuals with special needs while channeling her profound love for animals into evocative, heartfelt art that honors their bonds with humans.
